Flushing Airport Wholesale Mart Proposal

KBA successfully assisted a group of Korean wholesalers of toys, jewelry, and accessories to compete for and win the right to develop the 26-acre former Flushing Airport site in Queens, which was offered pursuant to a highly competitive NYC Economic Development Corporation Request for Proposals. The firm brought in developer Jonathan Rose & Companies, HOK Architects, and Turner Construction, and helped the group to formulate a proposal for a 500,000 square-foot showroom and warehouse facility. Although the City-owned site was subsequently taken off the market, KBA helped the client to identify and analyze potential alternative locations, and to select a new site in Jamaica, Queens.
