Rockefeller Group Development Corporation Flushing Commons 
KBA began working with Rockefeller and its local development partner, TDC Development & Construction Corp, in 2005 to respond to a NYC Economic Development Corporation Request for Proposals for the purchase and redevelopment of a five-acre municipal parking lot in Downtown Flushing, Queens. KBA helped the client to craft a winning proposal which prevailed over 12 other development teams. Flushing Commons will consist of a 1.8 million square-foot complex with a mix of housing, retail, office, and community uses. Following our clients’ designation as developer of the site, KBA assisted Rockefeller and TDC to negotiate a contract of sale with the City, prepare an Environmental Impact Statement, and undertake the City’s Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP), which was successfully completed in summer 2010. The project is expected to break ground in 2011. |
