Rutgers University College Avenue Campus Design Competition KBA assisted Rutgers to manage an international design competition for the redesign of its College Avenue campus in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The University’s plan called for the closing of College Avenue, the creation of a pedestrian mall through campus and new waterfront access, development of a new academic building, and the demolition, renovation and/or replacement of a variety of other facilities throughout the campus. KBA prepared a Request for Qualifications for design teams led by preeminent architects, assisted the University to select five finalists, and wrote the Request for Proposals. Rutgers announced Enrique Norton as the winner of the competition in 2006. |
