KBA assists clients of all types—from institutions contemplating complex real estate initiatives to developers new to New York City—in planning and executing real estate projects. We’re there to help with all aspects of the predevelopment process, from initial feasibility analysis and assembling the team to negotiating the transaction and getting construction underway.

Frequently, the first project task consists of helping clients to think through the project options that should be analyzed. KBA helps clients by providing a wide range of analytic services including development pro forma analysis, real estate database analysis, evaluation of development and leasing alternatives, financial feasibility analysis, preparation of capital and operating budgets, cash flow and rate of return analysis, and occupancy cost analysis.

KBA also serves clients as “staff extension” during the planning phase of a development project, managing a broad array of tasks. We help to select and oversee the project team, including designers, technical consultants, construction managers, and attorneys. Working closely with the client, KBA manages the team’s work product, budget, and schedule. In many cases, we also help clients engage with government agencies and community groups as well as with Boards of Trustees and other internal stakeholders. KBA has deep experience in negotiating and executing complex transactions. Managing critical paths and deliverables, KBA helps keep the project on schedule and on budget.
